FSRU / RLNG Terminal
To fulfil the objectives, APGDC has taken up Establishment of FSRU based LNG Project in the Eastern Coast i.e. Kakinada Deepwater Port in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Approval of project structure including GDF Suez and Shell was accorded by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh on 19.07.2014. A Special Purpose Vehicle has been proposed to build and operate FSRU based LNG import terminal. The design capacity of FSRU will be 3.5 MTPA (Base Load) with peak capacity of 5 MMTPA. Project is targeted to be completed by March 2018. Following is the Project status:
• MoU for the same has been signed by the above partners on 15.01.2015. MoU for Trading Company has also been signed on the same day by GAIL, GDF and Shell.
• Joint Venture Agreement signed on 25th Sep 2015 by partners in presence of Hon’ble CM of AP at Vijayawada.
• Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) is under completion
• APCZMA Clearance granted vide letter dated 21.05.2015
• Environmental clearance granted by MoEF vide letter dated 09.02.2016
• Clearance granted by Competition Commission of India (CCI) for merger filing vide letter dated 9th Feb 2016.
• Land for establishing On-shore receiving facility has been allotted by GoAP
• Incorporation of SPV is under progress
• Appointment of PMC for Dredging and Non-dredging is under progress.
• Charter hiring of FSRU is under finalisation.
